1 workshop, 3 modules
This workshop on waste management is being organised in tight collaboration with the Sanitation Department of the City of Lausanne.
The workshop is divided into three modules of increasing specialisation, towards a greater independence of the participant: each module does thus address participants with slightly different competences and profies. As a result, an application procedure may take place in order to be sure that participants possess the necessary theoretical and/or practical background to make the most out of the module.
- module 1: basics - waste collection, re-use & recycle, public awareness
- module 2: case analysis and optimisation - Life Cycle Analysis (LCA), mass balance, case studies
- module 3: project set-up - project definition, identification of partners, financing
Module 1 program
For this first module on waste management, addressing the basics of the domains, the expected participant profile is broad: responsibles at the political, communication, administrative or technical levels may all find relevant information to help them in their fields.
The module is organsied over 4 consecutive days, of which the fourth one is optional as it addresses a specific field of waste management (ie. harzardous waste). As illustrated on the figure below, the program is balanced between theoretical introduction and on field visits. The detailed program is on the make and will be available in the coming weeks.
Pre-registration, suggestions and questions can be addressed at info[a]ifgra.org.
